Dr. Allison Reid, DC, B.Sc
Dr. Reid graduated cum laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2011 and has been practicing in the Hamilton area ever since. Prior to attending CMCC in Toronto, Dr. Reid completed a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours at McMaster University with a major in Kinesiology. Through her four years at CMCC, Dr. Reid completed several outside studies to prepare her for her career. She has become certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Active Release Therapy, and TPI level one. Dr. Reid continues to further her education by keeping up on current literature and taking seminars. She strongly believes it is important for her to continue her education in order for her patients to receive the best care possible. Dr. Reid grew up playing hockey in Stoney Creek, and continues to play in the Hamilton area as an adult. Other interests include golf, soccer and many other sports. Her interest in working with young athletes in the community has influenced her approach to treating patients. She believes that it is not only important to identify where the pain and/or dysfunction is coming from, but it is also important to find out why the pain occurred. This helps improve patient outcomes and prevent it from reoccurring with rehabilitative and strengthening exercises. Dr. Reid believes that Chiropractic treatment is an important option for those suffering from aches and pains due to the stresses and strains of everyday life. She also believes in its importance in helping those who wish to improve their physical abilities and their over all health. She believes that every body is different, and should be evaluated and provided individual treatment plans focusing on their strengths, weaknesses and goals. |
